Invalid Country Code
The first two letters of the IBAN do not represent a valid ISO 3166-1 country code, or the country does not use IBAN.
Common Causes
- Incorrect country code entered
- Country code and check digits swapped
- Using a country that doesn't support IBAN
- Lowercase letters used instead of uppercase
How to Fix It
- 1 Verify the country code (e.g., DE for Germany, GB for UK)
- 2 Ensure the IBAN starts with two letters
- 3 Check if the destination country uses IBAN
- 4 Convert any lowercase letters to uppercase
